Usain Bolt, joining the Old Trafford outfit and examines the reasons
why the Olympics gold medalist should be given a trial with the Reds.
A new Olympic record set at 9.63 seconds, which converts the
Jamaican to being able to cover around10 meters a second. "I am now a
living legend" he claimed defending his Olympic gold.
Sir Alex Ferguson has preferred the likes of Chicharito and Danny
Welbeck over the talented Berbatov as he mentioned his plans of
building a fast-paced team with United's quick counter attacking style
of play. Bolt, with his blistering pace, could easily pull a defender
out of play with any run that he attempts to take. Other than his runs,
Bolt will use his physical strength to wear out defenders like Vincent
Kompany and John Terry in 50-50 situations.
Usain's height is also a powerful asset to the United attack
standing 1.93 meters high. The United gaffer has learned to play
strictly through the flanks of the feild, with the likes of Nani,
Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia providing the box with crosses that
fair dangerously to any defensive line.
Shinji Kagawa's addition to the squad was in place to bolster the
Reds' creativity in midfeild. Known for his killer passes through the
defenders, any pass through to Bolt will dismiss any high-line tactic
placed by an opposition.
United are reportedly chasing the want-a-way Arsenal captain Robin
van Persie, which is a financial worry for the Glazers and the Red
board. David Gill has suggested that The Glazers haven't prevented the
club from moving in during the transfer window, but it's a well know
reality that lead the club to openning up an account on the New York
Stock Exchange.
Usain Bolt will also be an extremely effective marketing product to
the club adding to their global fan base of 669 million. Some May argue
that Bolt is not a pure footballer, but that's what a trial tests, his
passion for the game and love for the club makes Bolt a leading
candidate to replace the unwanted Dimitar Berbatov.
